For all the things my hands have held the best by far is you.

We all have our own stories for welcoming a new little blessing but one thing that remains the same is that if you are here, you want to capture this beautiful time with your newborn.

I would love to help you do just that with either a intimate and at home lifestyle session or in my studio for posing and embracing.

Baby Safety Certified.

Did you know there is no certification to be a newborn photographer or to photograph a newborn?

That means some can go buy a camera and start advertising as a newborn photographer without anything stopping them or any education/experience/certification. Yet a baby is so delicate and so many poses, swaddles and ways you move as a photographer can be dangerous if not trained correctly.

Now if I am being honest it's not something I really put much thought into. I worked in childcare for 5+ years, was a nanny, raised 3 babies and feel pretty confident with newborns... But thanks to an awesome community and research, I have learned the importance of education and all I need to do for this area to be a professional and move forward.

With that I share I received training from a professional photographer of 25 years and educator, Ana Brandt. I am officially certified in baby safety for photography. This covers education on my studio, posing, overheating, umbilical cord care, newborn health and so much more.

How is JB3 Qualified for Newborns?

I take newborn safety extremely serious. Especially as a mother myself. Because of that I took at many steps as possible to be ferried and ready.

JB3 Qualifications:

-CPR CERTIFIED

-NEWBORN SAFETY CERTIFIED

-INSURED

-7+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE AND NANNY EXPERIENCE

-MOTHER OF 4

When should a newborn session take place?

I recommend doing newborn pictures within the first 2 weeks and in the morning. Circumstances can of course change this, but for most, this is the best time frame.

What should we expect for a studio session?

When you join me for a studio session, please take this time to unwind a little. I recommend feeding the baby prior to our session and while you relax, I will handle your sweet blessing with the greatest of care while capturing all the sweetness. I have a yoga ball to lightly bounce when comfort is needed, a noise machine, a posing swaddle to mimic the tightness of a womb and more.

Also, we can also do parents or family in studio and this can be done in-between the posing as needed according to babies schedule.

What information should be given before the session?

I want this session to be everything you envisioned. In order to do that, I would love to know any information you find important about your birthing journey and babies arrival.

-Jaundice

-Complications

-Important info on the baby.

-If you had a c-section

-Babies sleep schedule

-Nursing or Bottles

-Etc.
